Teachers Day
“A mediocre teacher tells, the good teacher explains, the
superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires”
The role of a teacher in our life is an important one as
they lay the foundations in growing up years. At times they
appear to be tough on us, but it’s only for our betterment as
they ultimately try to mould, shape and chisel our raw talents
and potentials, and help us fight our fears and weaknesses. In
India Teachers day is celebrated on September 5th every year
which is also Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary.
He was the second president of India.
It was a mega day at Infant Jesus School on September 5th. The
day began with sports for teachers. Various sports were
organized like relay, tug of war and musical chair. Teachers
participated actively in all the games. There after a lunch
feast was organized by the school to the teachers. Followed by
cultural programs, that were presented by students to the
teachers. Prizes of the sports events were announced during the
cultural program. It was a grand day only because of the efforts
of principal Fr. Andrew Jayraj and Vice principal Amar Lobo.
